Summary of Functions
We are looking for dedicated and professional Maintenance Technicians with the
ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Maintenance
technicians will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to maintaining, troubleshoot,
and/or test robotic equipment or related automated production systems. These individuals may be
involved with welding, occasional fabrication, and general facilities maintenance duties. They must
be flexible to working overtime, weekends, and occasionally holidays.
Responsibility
• Determine causes of operational problems or failures of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot systems, using programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis,
mechanics, sensor, etc.
• Disassemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs.
• Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment and robotic
systems.
• Maintain inventories of production supplies such as sensors and cables.
• Modify computer-controlled robot movements.
• Assist engineers in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems.
• Fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures, using metalworking machines.
• Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.
• Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment and robotic
systems, and facilities.
• Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or
conveyors.
• Document robotics test procedures and result.
• Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Evaluate the efficiency/reliability of systems, reprogram/calibrate to achieve maximum
quantity and quality.
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related
practices.
Qualifications
• Minimum associate degree in electronical engineering or related field (including Technical
College).
• Strong analytical and logical skills are required.
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment are required.
• Must be able to use/perform tasks with CAD (computer aided design) software.
• Any additional knowledge on PLC, Automation, Robotics are strongly preferred.
• Able to follow verbal and written directions (English).
• Industry exposure with manufacturing, production, or related private service organization.
• Implementation of production programs by ensuring staff training.
• Develops production process solutions
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift up to 25 pounds to move objects is required. Must possess strength, stamina, and
mobility to perform low physical work indoors with minimum exposure to dust.
• Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
• Ability to stand for long lengths of time and capable of working with machinery or moving heavy
equipment.
• Must be able to identify color and see difference in color, including shades and brightness.
• Ability to make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
