Title: Thermal Management System in Electric Vehicles

Electric Vehicles (xEVs) are considered as promising option for sustainable transportation. Recent research developments in the xEVs have prompted a steady increase of xEVs market share. Thermal management system (TMS) of xEVs is an important aspect to enhance the competitiveness as compared to conventional internal combustions engines (ICEs). Thermal management system of EVs mainly includes heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC-TMS) system, power electronic thermal management system (PE-TMS) and battery thermal management system (B-TMS). This seminar presents basics of HVAC-TMS, PE-TMS and B-TMS system applicable to xEVs. The seminar provides in-depth understanding of the issues associated with thermal management system of xEVs, the state-of-the-art research status and possible solutions for efficient thermal management system of xEVs.
