GST has a wide range of innovative abatement products for the semiconductor industry. GST innovations include a unique dual-stage combustion reactor for the Dragon “Burn-Wet “scrubber.  The GST reactor can be operated at a higher temperature than the flameless burner for superior abatement efficiency while achieving NOx and CO emission levels. GST is investing in the development and acquisition of novel abatement technologies to meet the requirements of today and the future.

 

Job description 

GST America is seeking a Lead Safety Specialist to join our team. This is a leadership position within GST America INC. As a part of GST America INC, you will work with the Samsung Semiconductor teams to provide continuous improvements in safety by acting as a liaison between leadership., frontline workers, technicians, and our customers. You are an ideal candidate for this role if you can act as a safety leader while possessing the ability to collaborate and build relationships within the operating units. Our team thrives on identifying practical safety solutions for our organization and is committed to improving the safety process within GST America Inc.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute health and safety plans and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)


• Plan, coordinate, and conduct daily job site safety inspection as well as monthly and quarterly safety audits.


• Act as primary department interface to Environmental, Health & Safety personnel and Program Managers.


• Develop and oversee company training programs for employees in worksite safety practices.


• Coordinate and conduct safety training as needed.


• Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program.


• Investigate and manage all incidents and near misses, and prepare reports detailing causes and remedies to prevent reoccurrences.


• Work with our sponsor’s Site Safety Coordinator to enforce safety policies through training, enforcement, and discipline.


• Review and modify safety policies as required.


• Assist with the development of new training programs and present training materials to groups as needed.


• Attend weekly/monthly safety meetings as needed.

Requirements:

• at least 2 years of safety-related work experience preferred


• Must be able to pass a background check


• OSHA-30 certified required


• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach


• Strong problem-solving and mentoring skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
