Position & Category
· Job Title: Mechanical Construction Manager (Entry Level)
· Number of Openings: 1
· Location: 12100 Samsung Blvd, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78754 (Austin Site)
Primary Responsibilities
· Sub-contractor Management: Oversee and manage construction quality performed by sub-contractors.
· Field Inspections: Conduct regular site patrols to ensure rigorous Quality Control (QC) and Safety compliance.
· Project Controls: Manage weekly and monthly schedules for multiple renovation and facility improvement projects.
Job Descriptions
A. Develop milestone schedules at the pre-construction stage
B. Create detail construction schedules as needed
C. Update construction schedules
D. Develop constructability plan, including schedule and staffing requirements
E. Facilitate the kick-off of the constructability program
F. Ensure implementation of the constructability program
G. Review construction sequence and constructability procedures and checklists
H. Hold additional constructability discussions if required
I. Ensure constructability issues are documented
J. Verify that constructability comments to the design are resolved and incorporated as appropriate. Generate RFI’s and submittals as needed.
K. Provide construction input during scope and execution development efforts. Report construction updates to managers as needed.
L. Facilitate discipline checklist reviews used to identify major constructability issues
M. Provide input to the plot plan and other documents
N. Define systems turnover packages including red line drawings, OMW to client
O. Participate in other project design activities and decisions to provide construction input
P. Assist in the development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Construction Work Package (CWP)
Q. Support the development of the construction schedule and other project deliverables
R. Assign a unique identification number and date to each RFI
S. Review the Prime Contract to determine if any as-built requirements are addressed
T. Develop a listing of as-built drawings to be provided upon project completion
U. Collect as-built information during construction
V. Update the Construction Condition Analysis
W. Patrolling the site
X. Attend Quality, Safety, and Scheduling Meeting
Y. Be able to build effective relationship between the Client (SAS) and sub-contractors.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related engineering or construction field (Preferred).
· Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
· Language: Fluency in both English and Korean.
