Hanyang ENG USA INC currently constructing our own office and cleanroom welding facility and the project is in the permitting phase.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Manager for Building/Factory EPC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Acting as liaison with architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, other Turner job staff, and owner's representatives in resolving issues related to plans and specifications.


• Having general knowledge of all general contract and subcontract documents, job estimates as well as the permit authority process. Overseeing and making decisions related to contract drawings and subcontract information. Ensuring that all drawings and specifications properly relate to the estimate.


• Negotiating change orders. Managing information on changes in the work; preparing an independent analysis, as required; obtaining and checking estimates for the changes from subcontractor; obtaining approval of the architect and owner and resolving any conflicts.


• Preparing scope of work documents for trades.


• Developing reports such as General Conditions Items, labor, safety, change order logs, and quality control.


• Scheduling and managing subcontractor trade coordination meetings, pre-construction meetings, and submittal review meetings.


• Builds relationships and develops communication and interpersonal skills with subcontractors and project team members.


• Assists project team in the management of the overall site, subcontractors, and inspection of completed work. Troubleshoots and resolves issues that may affect the construction schedule and appropriately surfaces concerns to business leaders when required.


• Participates in activities such as punch lists, city inspections, safety reviews, and quality reviews, and prepares the necessary documentation.


• Supports the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.


• Attends and participates in Owner, Architect, and Contractor (OAC) meetings and assists the Project Manager in the preparation of progress reports and meeting minutes.

 

 Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is required


• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.


• Solid understanding of commercial construction terms


• Knowledge of the Company’s industry and trends impacting its business


• Possess excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).


• Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing


• Passion and fascination for construction


• Responsible, dependable, and takes ownership


• Well-organized, a planner and self-starter

• Customer-service orientated


• Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications: (but not required)

• 10 years of experience in an architect or civil role is plus


• Experience as a Project Assistant or project engineer in the construction field.


• Property Developer experience is plus


• Ability to use MS Project Program is plus


• communicate, in Korean, both verbally and in writing


• CM experience is plus

 

Working Environment & Physical Activities: 

This position will be working primarily indoors. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• BODY POSITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time while performing the essential functions. Also required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and potentially crawl.
